Meet the Founder
My name is Susy Banks, and I am the founder of Kingdom Heritage Preparatory School (KH Prep).
With a Master of Science in Psychology and years of experience working with children and youth in educational settings, I have dedicated my life to helping students grow academically, emotionally, and personally. Throughout my career, I have served in multiple roles—including teacher, student services coordinator, director, and mentor—supporting students from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of needs.
My approach has always gone beyond academics. I believe that true success comes from developing the whole child—confidence, character, emotional strength, and real-world readiness.

Where It All Became Personal
While my professional experience has shaped my knowledge, my greatest growth came through my role as a mother.
Like many families, we faced significant challenges during COVID. I witnessed firsthand how easily students could become overwhelmed, disconnected, and uncertain about their future. Social struggles, lack of motivation, and emotional stress became real obstacles—not just for my children, but for many families around us.
Instead of allowing those challenges to define their path, I became intentional.
Through structure, guidance, and consistent support, I helped my children rebuild confidence, develop independence, and regain direction. Today, they are moving forward in their careers and educational journeys with purpose and clarity.
That experience changed everything for me.
It confirmed what I had always believed:
Students don’t just need education—they need guidance, structure, and someone who truly understands them.
Why KH Prep Was Created
Kingdom Heritage Preparatory School (KH Prep) was created to bridge the gap between traditional education and real-life readiness. Many students are capable, but not fully prepared.
At KH Prep, we focus on developing the whole student by combining:
- Academic support and structure
- Life and career readiness skills
- Social-emotional development
- Confidence-building and self-advocacy
- Faith-based guidance and purpose
Our programs are designed to help students not only succeed in school, but also navigate life with confidence, clarity, and direction.
A Continued Commitment
In addition to my professional work, I continue to homeschool my two younger children, providing them with intentional academic, social, emotional, and spiritual support.
This keeps me closely connected to the real challenges families face today—and allows me to bring practical, relevant solutions into every program we offer at KH Prep.
